There has been much research done to learn about aging and how to slow it down. According to the studies, the more cells your body has and the thicker these cells are, your skin will be healthier and with less wrinkle.
The number one skin enemy is the internal free radicals which destroys healthy cells by attacking the cell's DNA. This results in the deterioration of the collagen fibers which support structures in the skin's cells. When the collagen collapses, it cause the skin to form wrinkles, hence we look "older".
External free radicals include sunlight (UVA & UVB rays), pollution and especially smoking. To improve our outward appearance, we need to take an "inside out" approach and adopt a healthier lifestyle.
Using beauty products helps but only to a limited extent.
